This model is based on the Walthers Platinum Line International Steel Bay Window caboose, which is the closest available mass-produced model of the B&O C-24 and C-26 class caboose. A Kadee see-through plastic roofwalk is added, along with ladders and formed wire grab-irons. The thick plastic window inserts are replaced with thin window glazing. Unique custom-made simulated window screens are added, along with non-operating end markers.
The caboose is finished in a prototypical paint scheme with silver-gray roof, gray ends, and yellow handrails. The custom-printed decals are overcoated with a smooth flat finish.
